The pinned Complete All Seasons in Stone — cotton panel with the zip-down mesh section, worn inward; the padded waist belt carries the line’s signature lumbar support
Soft-structured carrier · Check #93 — Batch 6
LÍLLÉbaby Complete All Seasons 6-in-1 (Stone)
The best value on the carrier shelf — IHDI-acknowledged hip positioning in both seat widths, no insert to buy, and the lumbar support owners praise in one voice, at $75–$100 street against the $199 Ergobaby Omni Breeze (check #60) — worth it if you will use the full newborn-to-preschool range, because the sixth 'position' is a legs-in fetal pose the hip experts advise skipping, BabyGearLab scores it 56/100 (#11 of…
See current price ↗The pitch
six ergonomic positions from 7–45 lbs with no infant insert, a zip-down temperature-control mesh panel, a hip-healthy seat and best-in-class lumbar support
The catch
the fetal position is not IHDI-recommended; switching seat width means baby down and carrier off; the panel is not full mesh; bulk defeats petite wearers
FSA/HSA
not eligible — a standard carrier is general baby gear, not a medical expense, and no eligibility listing was found
What it is
A soft-structured buckle carrier rated 7–45 lbs with no infant insert — the seat converts between a narrow and a wide setting on the waistband. Six positions: fetal (wide seat, ~7–12 lbs, with an infant pillow sold separately), inward narrow (newborns up, no pillow needed), inward wide (toddlers, by femur length), front-facing out (narrow seat only, 6+ months, strong head control), hip (wide, 6+ months) and back (wide seat). The All Seasons build is a cotton panel with a zip-down section revealing 3D mesh, plus a removable UPF 50+ hood, two-way straps (backpack or crossed), a front zip pocket, a waist belt to ~52″ (extender sold separately to 61.5″) and the signature structured lumbar support. Machine wash cold, hang dry. Warranty: 1 year.
Claims vs. reality
Six positions. The count is real — and one of the six is the position the experts tell you to skip. The fetal (legs-in) carry draws a trained babywearing consultant’s warning (legs-in can stress developing ankle joints; the rolled-blanket/pillow workaround confuses parents) and MomInformed’s flat note that it is not a recommended position by the IHDI. The narrow-seat inward carry it duplicates works from 7 lbs with no pillow — so count five usable positions plus one contested newborn pose. Underneath the count: switching narrow↔wide means taking the carrier off and putting the baby down (~2 minutes), and facing-out is always narrow and short-bursts only, so mixed days mean repeated off-body seat changes. Owner fit complaints mostly trace to the wrong width: narrow for 7–20 lbs, wide above, outward always narrow.
Zip-down “all seasons” mesh. The panel is real — unzip it and 3D mesh is exposed. It is a panel, not a mesh carrier: a babywearing consultant notes padding and bulk decide warmth more than mesh does, Forbes Vetted’s hands-on found it not as breathable as the Omni Breeze (check #60), possibly hot in summer, with cotton that dirties easily and took almost two days to air-dry — BabyGearLab independently gives it the field’s lowest Ease of Cleaning, 2.0. LÍLLÉbaby’s own full-mesh answer is its separate Airflow line. Buy this as a three-season carrier with a vent.
“Hip-healthy.” Real, and it is the fact that separates this carrier from the budget shelf: the Complete is acknowledged by the IHDI as a hip-healthy product, narrow seat included — where check #87’s Infantino appears nowhere on IHDI’s record. As in checks #60 and #87: acknowledgment is a design acknowledgment, not a certification, and no carrier is proven to cause or prevent dysplasia. The acknowledgment covers the legs-out positions — not the fetal pose above.
7–45 lbs, no insert. The runway is real; the endpoints are paper numbers. No-insert narrow-seat carry from 7 lbs verifies — but the photographed fetal position needs the infant pillow, sold separately. At the top end, a tester’s 35-lb 3-year-old made front carry something “my body also hated”; back carry stays workable thanks to the padding, realistically to ~3 years — if the wearer can tighten the straps, which is the documented failure for petite frames under ~5′4″.
Safety & recalls
No CPSC recall was found for the LÍLLÉbaby Complete / Complete All Seasons (checked Oct 21, 2026). The brand name does carry a recall — of a different product: on Nov 15, 2018, LÍLLÉbaby recalled about 6,600 Active series carriers because the chest clip strap can detach from the shoulder strap (fall hazard). Own an Active? Check it; it says nothing about this carrier. The rules that govern this one: TICKS every carry (face visible, chin off chest, close enough to kiss); facing-out only from 6 months+ with strong head control, baby awake, short bursts, turned in at sleep; back carry only when baby sits independently and fits the wide seat; correct seat width for baby’s weight and a leg/circulation check after positioning (one unverified owner report of feet turning purple is the reminder, not a defect finding); inspect buckles and the chest clip before every use; never while driving, cooking or in water; not a car restraint and not a sleep space.
Real reviews — what owners say
Pools: Babylist 4.8/5 across 1,679 reviews (Stone and Moonbeam share the pool); Amazon family 4.5/5 across 6,208 (mirror record for a sibling colourway — Amazon’s own page could not be read directly, flagged in the full check); Target Stone 4.1/5 across 170 ratings at $74.99. Lab/editorial: BabyGearLab 56/100, #11 of 12 (Parent Comfort 6.0, Ease of Use 5.0, Child Comfort 7.0, Cleaning 2.0); Forbes Vetted’s best-value carrier; PureWow Best Overall; SafeWise best overall. Praise is one voice: the lumbar support, padding that makes heavy babies tolerable, no insert, the pocket and hood. Complaints, in order: bulk and petite fit; seat-width confusion and off-body switching; heat despite the panel; care burden (cotton, hang-dry for days); a thin critical tail at Target. No repeating buckle-failure pattern for the Complete surfaced — the brand’s buckle recall is the Active series, a different product.
Price & FSA/HSA
$79.99 for the pinned Stone at Babylist (a second crawl of the same listing read $74.99 — flagged, not averaged); Target $74.99; brand store $89.99; list $100. The verified street band is ~$75–$100 by colourway and channel — older $120–$170 list prices are dated/specialty outliers, and Amazon’s live price for this ASIN could not be read directly, so treat anything far above $100 there as a reseller offer. Running costs: the infant pillow (only for the fetal position this check says to skip), a waistbelt extender past 52″, teething pads — no consumables. Shelf context: check #60’s Ergobaby Omni Breeze is $199 with full mesh and a lifetime warranty; check #87’s Infantino Flip is $29.15 with no IHDI acknowledgment. At street, this is the cheapest IHDI-acknowledged no-insert carrier in the library. Used units pass down safely — inspect buckles, chest clip and webbing, and never a recalled Active-series unit.
FSA/HSA: not eligible — a standard carrier is general baby gear, not a qualified medical expense (the same rule as checks #60 and #87); no eligibility listing was found.
The verdict
WORTH IT IF… you want one carrier from newborn to preschool and will actually use the range — inward now, hip and back later — at about half the premium shelf’s price. Conditions: skip the fetal position (legs-in, pillow-dependent, not IHDI-recommended — the narrow-seat inward carry is the newborn position); try it first if you are petite (under ~5′4″ the bulk and strap range are the documented failure, worst for back carry); buy the temperature claim as three-season — one vented panel, not climate control, and a slow wash/dry cycle; learn the seat-width rule before the first outing and accept that changing it means baby down, carrier off; buy at the $75–$100 street band, never the outlier listings; and accept a 1-year warranty. NOT worth it if you want the easiest daily carrier and will pay for it (BabyGearLab: 56/100, Ease of Use 5.0 — check #60 is the smoother tool), if you carry mostly in hot weather (buy full mesh), if you only need inward carries for a few months (check #87 does that for ~$29), or if the wearer is petite and cannot test the fit in person.

The best value on the carrier shelf — IHDI-acknowledged hip positioning, no insert to buy, and the lumbar support owners praise in one voice, at $75–$100 street against the $199 Ergobaby Omni Breeze (check #60). But the sixth “position” is a legs-in fetal pose the hip experts advise skipping, BabyGearLab scores it 56/100 (#11 of 12, Ease of Cleaning 2.0), the zip-down panel vents one section rather than making it a mesh carrier, and the bulky padding is a documented poor fit on petite frames.
